Sammy Rae & the Friends head out on their nationwide tour, CAMP: The Tour

The jazz-rock funk band Sammy Rae & the Friends is on the road performing in multiple cities near you! Tour dates have been revealed which will see the band performing across the United States with a late-summer stop in Madrid, Spain.
Sammy Rae & the Friends is a collective fronted by Sammy Rae Bowers, a CT-based singer-songwriter. The rest of the 8-piece band includes C-Bass Chiriboga on the drums, James Quinlan playing the bass, Will Leet playing guitar and keys, Max Zooi playing the tenor saxophone and synths, and Kellon Anderson on the alto saxophone. Myra Moon and Kaya Kulu provide the band’s backing vocals.
The band’s latest song, “Coming Home Song,” was released on Jan. 26. “Coming Home Song” is a track off of the anticipated debut album. Though no official date has been announced yet, it is expected to be released this summer, possibly while the band is still on tour.
Prior to kicking off CAMP: The Tour, the band has accomplished major success, having released two EPs, one titled The Good Life and the other titled Let's Throw a Party. They also have played at venues such as Summerstage in NYC and Eventim Apollo in London. Their music has attracted thousands of fans, with sold out shows across the US & UK being a common occurrence. Sammy Rae & the Friends first gained popularity after being featured on Spotify’s "Discover Weekly" playlist.
Sammy Rae & the Friends will be on tour with support from We The Commas, Erin & The Wildfire, Oaky Kenedi, Sir Woman, Fleece, Les Green & The Swayzees, Stops include Atlanta, GA, Orlando, FL, Cleveland, OH, and Buffalo, NY among others. The band will then head on tour supporting the Grammy-nominated folk band The Avett Brothers starting Aug. 20 until Aug. 23.
Sammy Rae & the Friends will also be performing in Spain on Jul. 5 for the Noches del Botánico Festival.
