Up and coming artist Mark Ambor released his latest single “Company,” which follows Ambor’s pop, upbeat path of single “The Long Way.” Although Ambor’s sound is pure pop and fun for pastime, his latest single doesn’t stick out from the pop-radio phenomena today.

Ambor is a New York native where he grew up with a fondness for music. He self-taught himself the guitar and has been playing the piano since he was seven years old. In a recent interview with The Point, he explained how he hid his talent from a young age. Only when he revealed his vocal range through a video to his parents did his career officially begin.

He’s been working on growing his following via social media, which has been successful. In October 2020, Ambor’s Instagram following was a sheer 2,000 followers. He now has 235,000 followers and his TikTok account has been just as successful.

The singer explained he had written “Company” during the pandemic, inspired by his feeling of emptiness with family and friends. The pandemic had a way of isolating everyone both physically and mentally; something Ambor touches on with grace. In recent interviews, the singer had noted the power of friendship and how important connecting became when we all were faced with extreme isolation.

Simultaneously with the release of his new single, he dropped a lyric music video that displays raw, unfiltered video footage about his social life. Ambor is shown as any other guy trying to lead a successful music startup while keeping up with the happenings of his personal life. The video has reached nearly 3,000 views.

Whereas “The Long Way” focused on relationship needs and the “ups and downs” of love, “Company” is on the opposite end of the spectrum. The single is a true form of humanity and continues Ambor’s streak of vulnerability. “Company” is easily his best work and soars higher with his message of friendship and the power of adaptability.
