Beabadoobee’s Glue Song (feat. Clairo) Gives You a Reason to Fall in Love Again

By Kobe Huynh

I remember fighting for barricade at Beabadoobee’s opening set for Clairo’s Immunity tour in 2019. It was the first I heard of Bea and the first time I was ever awestruck by an opener enough to carry her name home as another artist I could fall in love with.

Now, four years later, Bea and Claire reunite once more for a welcome addition to their legacy in bedroom pop. The world has another song to fall in love with, or to; for a collaboration that nobody saw coming, it’s sure to make its way to headlines, setlists, and let’s face it–fans are already spreading Claire’s verse through TikTok and Twitter is still scrambling to find their feet.

This indie girl power house collab soothes the soul and hits an itch that undeniably everybody has been waiting for. Claire and Bea stunned crowds once and they’ve somehow found a way to do it again.

This rendition of “Glue Song” is intimate, soothes the soul, and convinces you to swoon over this powerhouse duo over and over again. While Bea’s official music video for “Glue Song” takes place in the Philippines as an ode to her family, Claire’s verse on this version tethers us to what feels like home.

The song feels like a deep exhale with a warm embrace. A wonderful way to tie Bea and Claire together post-tour since 2019.
